Homemade Pecan Butter

One thing you won’t find in any store is pecan butter. I’ve seen peanut and almond butter, but I have never seen pecan butter in any grocery store. The good news is that it can be made in 30-40 minutes at home. All you need are 3 ingredients: fresh pecans, salt, and ground cinnamon. You will also need a high powered food processor.

The instructions are simple – Roast the pecans for around 5 minutes in a pan. Let them cool down for 2-3 minutes and you can start blending. This is the longest process and you’re going to have to blend it for around 2 minutes at a time and scrape the side of the bowl to get the mixture to continue blending. You’ll have to continue to blend it just like this until it reaches the smooth consistency. This takes around 30-40 minutes from start to finish.

Once you have reached the smooth consistency add in the salt and cinnamon. You’ll need to store the pecan butter in a container with a lid and keep it in the fridge.
